IPL protest escalates in Chennai, in and around Anna Salai near Chepauk stadium. Tamil Protestors like directors- #Bharathiraja, #Seeman, #Ameer and others have been arrested.
Some shoes have been hurled from the top tier on to the field. Faf du Plessis and Ravindra Jadeja have removed them. Play is continuing though.
The pro-Tamil activists are protesting the delay by the central government in setting up a Cauvery management board, to oversee sharing the river water between the neighbouring states of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Over 350 people have been arrested and 4,000 police personnel deployed at the MA Chidambaram stadium.
